WHAT WE DO MATTERS

Napa Valley Cooperative Nursery School was started by families more than seventy-five years ago to ensure a nurturing and safe place for children to learn through play, develop independence, and thrive in a community surrounded by friends and their families. As a nonprofit school, we have significant financial needs and we rely on our community and partnerships to continue to provide affordable service to families.

We have endless gratitude to the parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty, board members, and friends who have given – and continue to give – generously to our non-profit. With your support, NVNS can continue to provide a rich and meaningful education to our students and their families, today and in the decades to come.

Ways You Can Support Our Mission

1. Participate in an Event

Instant Wine Cellar Raffle (Winter)

Every year, Napa Valley Nursery School has an Instant Wine Cellar Raffle. Proceeds benefit NVNS in continuing our 70+ year commitment to providing early childhood education and a supportive parent community for families to thrive in the Napa Valley. Each ticket sold offers the chance to win a selection of rare and exceptional bottles of wine from Napa Valley and around the world. Learn more or buy a ticket for your chance to win!

Giving Tuesday (or any day of the year!)

Donating to our non-profit nursery school co-op is a powerful and important decision because it allows you to directly support a community-driven preschool that prioritizes high-quality early childhood education at an affordable cost. When you support our program you’re also enabling parent envolvement and ultimately giving back to the lcoal community by ensuring access to enriching learning experiences for all children, their families, and especially those who may not otherwise be able to afford it. Your contribution can help fund essential programs equipment upgrades, and scholarships for families in need. Thank you for considering us in your annual giving.

Fall Festival & Artisan Market Fundraiser

It’s an event for all ages and open to the whole community. There will be hosted kids crafts, games for children and adults, festive snacks to enjoy, a craft market with local vendors as well as young entrepreneurs from around Napa County … and more! Come support their efforts, fundraise for a good cause, AND shop local. Each dollar spent at our market goes directly back to each vendor and to the relocation efforts for NVNS.

Plate Making Gifts

Join us every autumn as we gather – in person or virtually – and create one-of-a-kind plates, bowls (and more!). With a paper template your child is able to create artwork using markers and crayons, and submit their drawings to MAGICALLY MORPH into plates and bowls they can enjoy at home for years to come. These special items quickly become household favorites at mealtime and treasured keepsakes for loved ones. You do not need to be a current or past student to participate, nor be an experienced artist. Every time NVNS Alumni families see each other – and we see each other a lot because NVNS creates a stronger and longer lasting community of families than any other preschool in Napa – we end up talking about how much we miss our nursery school days and our fabulous teacher(s).
